As a glass factory owner, entrepreneur and busy mom, Tove Ohlander of AO Glass wanted practical, durable, and good-looking clothing to fit her lifestyle. She designed a garment that works in both the glass studio, the business world, and beyond.

Tove is from Småland, Sweden, also known as the Glass Kingdom. She is influenced by the long-standing tradition of glass-making and by Scandinavian design and nature. She has a deep appreciation for both the origin of the raw materials and for the hand craftswomanship and craftsmanship that bring a product to life.

International Chic with a Maker Touch.

In 2017 Tove turned her design focus to clothing and developed the original Maker Skirt: a classic-cut wrap skirt in sturdy denim that fully overlaps in the back, with just the right amount of pockets.

Through close collaboration with sustainable fashion-trailblazer Annika Axelsson in Sweden, Tove built connections with an innovative apparel production team and social enterprise in Bangalore, India. She adopted their GOTS and Fair Trade certified eco-system to bring her innovative and sustainable garments to everyone, everywhere.
